【摘要】:Inmanyapplications,thevaporretardersusedonathermalinsulationwillbeexposedtothetemperatureslistedin7.2.Crackingordelaminationoftheretarderundertheseconditionswould,inmostcases,causeittoloseitseffectivenessasavaporretardermaterial.1.1ThistestmethodcoversthevisualdeterminationofthethermalintegrityofflexiblewatervaporretardersforthosematerialsclassifiedunderSpecificationC1136,includingplastic,foil,orpaperandcompositesoftwoormoreofthesematerialstotemperatureslistedinthespecificationorpurchasecontract.Thevaporretardersareintendedforuseattemperaturesofx2212;20to150x00B0;F(x2212;29to66x00B0;C).Thistestmethoddoesnotcovermasticsorbarriercoatingsappliedinliquidformormaterialsintendedforuseasweatherbarriers.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
