【摘要】:Thistestmethodisconsideredsatisfactoryforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsofnarrowelasticfabricsbecausethetestmethodisusedinthetradeforacceptancetesting.Incaseofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingthistestmethodforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepartiesshouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimensthatareashomogeneousaspossibleandthatarefromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensshouldthenberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.Theaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingstudent''st-testforunpaireddataandanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforetestingisbegun.Ifbiasisfound,eitherthecausemustbefoundandcorrectedorthepurchaserandthesuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestresultsinthelightoftheknownbias.Thistestmethodspecifiestheuseofastaticloadapparatus.Usersofthistestmethodarecautionedthatelongationtestdataobtainedusingthistestmethodarenotcomparabletoelongationtestdataobtainedusingeitherconstant-rate-of-extension(CRE)orconstant-rate-of-loading(CRL)typetensiletestingmachines.1.1Thistestmethoddeterminestheelongationcharacteristicsofnarrowelasticfabricsmadefromnaturalorman-madeelastomers,eitheraloneorincombinationwithothertextilefibers,whentestedwithastaticloadtestingprocedurebeforeorafterlaundering.Note18212;Fordeterminationofsimilarcharacteristicsusingtheconstant-rate-of-extension(CRE)typetensiletestingmachine,refertoTestMethodD4964.Note28212;Fordeterminationofsimilarcharacteristicsusingtheconstant-rate-ofload(CRL)typetensiletestingmachine,refertoTestMethodD1775.1.2Theuseofthistestmethodrequirestheselectionof,ormutualagreementupon,theeffectivestaticloadatwhichthetestresultswillbedetermined.1.3LaunderingproceduresusedwillbethosespecifiedinTestMethodAATCC135for3washinganddryingcycles.1.4Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theinch-poundunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecifications.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
