【摘要】:1Thispracticecoversthepreparationanduseofsemi-adiabaticcalorimetersformeasurementofabsorbeddoseandroutinedosimetercalibrationwhenirradiatedwithelectronsforradiationprocessingapplications.Thecalorimetersareeithertransportedbyaconveyorpastascannedelectronbeamorarestationaryinabroadenedbeam.2Thispracticeappliestoelectronbeamsintheenergyrangefrom1.5to12MeV.3Theabsorbeddoserangedependsontheabsorbingmaterialandtheirradiationandmeasurementconditions.Minimumdoseisapproximately100Gyandmaximumdoseisapproximately50kGy.4Theaverageabsorbed-doseraterangeshallgenerallybegreaterthan10Gy·s.5Thetemperaturerangeforuseofthesecalorimetersdependsonthethermalresistanceofthematerials,onthecalibratedrangeofthetemperaturesensor,andonthesensi-tivityofthemeasurementdevice.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappro-priatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplica-bilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
